A fresh batch of four young university graduates from member countries will be joining the Executive Secretariat from July 2013 onwards under the IOC’s official traineeship scheme.
A young Algerian graduate will be joining the Technical Unit for a four-month traineeship providing support for technical cooperation activities and a Tunisian-nationality trainee will be taken on for five months to assist the Chemistry & Standardisation Unit. The other two trainees are for the Economic Survey Unit and the Translation Department. In the first case, the Tunisian trainee selected will assist the Unit for five months with a survey of oil-olive production costs while in the second, the successful candidate from Lebanon will do a four-month French translation stint.
This is the first time that candidates from Algeria and Lebanon will be taken on for traineeships at the Organisation.
