The International Olive Council (IOC) and the Institution of Agricultural Research and Higher Education of Tunisia (IRESA; Institution de la Recherche et de l’Enseignement Supérieur Agricoles) Tunisia signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 21 October to enhance collaboration in olive research, training and technical cooperation.
The agreement, signed by IOC Executive Director Jaime Lillo and IRESA President Zohra Lili Chabaane, aims to create synergies in education, innovation and knowledge transfer in the olive sector. It provides a framework for joint activities such as research projects, technical training, student exchanges, scientific events and more.
Through this partnership, both institutions reaffirm their commitment to promoting sustainable, inclusive and science-based growth of the olive sector in Tunisia and across the Mediterranean.
