Madrid – EVOO DAYS, an event organised by Veronafiere, providing a global overview of the olive crop year and a preview of the upcoming Sol&Agrifood fair, will be held in Verona on 19 and 20 February and will include an official intervention by the International Olive Council (IOC). The IOC, at the invitation of the authorities, will participate in the event, contributing to raising awareness among sector operators, specialised press and institutions of the activities of this intergovernmental organisation. Particular reference will be made to the development of the chain of communication and information of the new IOC Observatory: a network of contacts among the main research centres and universities throughout the world to facilitate the exchange and dissemination of information. The IOC will also focus on olive growing in China, drawing on official data obtained through collaboration with the Research Institute and Academy of Forestry of the Government of the People’s Republic of China.
