The deadline for submitting proposals for activities to be carried out during 2026 is the 14th of September

The International Olive Council (IOC) has launched its call for proposals to support activities aimed at promoting domestic consumption of olive oil and table olives in its member countries. The 2026 call will fund annual projects, and proposals should therefore include activities to be implemented during the current year.

These grants form part of the IOC’s programme of promotional activities and aim to strengthen market awareness, highlight the quality of local products and foster cooperation among member countries. The initiative is aligned with the objectives set out in the 2015 International Agreement on Olive Oil and Table Olives.

A total budget of €64,100 has been allocated to the 2026 annual grants. Eligible activities include:

• Organisation of seminars, trade fairs, symposiums and workshops.
• Installation of information stands at food and nutrition exhibitions.
• Production of promotional materials, including brochures, books and digital resources.
• Participation of international experts invited to take part in promotional activities.
• Support for the organisation of extra virgin olive oil quality competitions, provided they comply with the relevant IOC standards.

The deadline for submitting proposals is 14 September 2026. Selected activities are expected to begin in mid-October.
