Continued collaboration with Brazil

Madrid, 8 February 2023 – The Head of the Standardisation and Research Unit, Ms Mercedes Fernandez, and the Head of External Relations, Mr Andoni Olano, welcomed the Advisor to the Brazilian Embassy, Mr Flávio Bettarello, and the Embassy’s Foreign Trade Analyst, Ms Manoela Cavalcanti de Araújo. The purpose of the meeting was to take stock of the partnership and activities of Brazil as an observer at the IOC. The Embassy representatives expressed their interest in continuing on this path and in the country joining the IOC in the near future. The meeting ended with a visit to the headquarters facilities, in particular the new garden of peace that was unveiled in December 2022.
