تكامل، أو مجموعة من قيم الإماتة الجزئية، التي يتم التوصل إليها أثناء عملية التعقيم والتي يتم التعبير عنها من حيث أوقات التعرض لدرجة حرارة ذات مرجعية. عندما يتم تحديد درجة الحرارة ذات المرجعية Tr ب 121 درجة مئوية، ومنحنى “z” ب 10 درجات مئوية يتم الحصول على القيمة Fo، المُستخدمة للزيتون المسود بسبب الأكسدة. وينبغي الوصول إلى 15 وحدة على الأقل.
