At the beginning of this year, the IOC issued calls for expressions of interest to apply for IOC grants for promotional and technical assistance. Since the bulk of the allotted budgetary funding has been awarded, no further calls will be issued for 2012.
Nevertheless, very limited budgetary funds are still available. Consequently, after examining unsolicited applications (one for promotion and two for technical assistance), the IOC has responded in the affirmative to these requests for grant funding of less than €5 000, and will continue to do so until all the allotted funds are used up. Since these remaining funds are very small, the next meeting of the Grant Evaluation Committees on 30 July 2012 will probably be the last. Any applications received and not processed by that date will be appraised then.
