STANDARDISATION AND RESEARCH: NEXT MEETINGS

Calendar for the second half of 2021. Despite the pandemic, the Standardisation and Research Unit has a busy schedule in the second half of 2021 as follow indicate.

  • 15 – 17 September: The second edition of the workshop on panel harmonisation, in which 100 panels approved by the IOC will taste samples of olive oil. The objective of the workshop is to harmonise panels, minimise discrepancies and homogenise results.
  • 20-21 September: Meeting of the experts on sensory analysis. The main topics discussed will be the progress of the various electronic working groups, and the analysis of the conclusions of the proficiency tests for accreditation for the period 2020-2021.
  • 23 September: Expert meeting on the composition of oils with non-standard parameters.
  • 4-6 October: Workshop “Olive Oil, Mediterranean Sauce-Making and the Plant-Forward Kitchen” as part of the collaboration agreement between the IOC and the Culinary Institute of America.
  • 13 October: Presentation of the Oleum project findings.
  • 14-15 October: Meeting of the experts on chemistry. The main topics discussed will be the results of the collaborative trials, the progress of harmonisation between the different standards and the priorities for future work.
  • 18-22 October: 27th meeting of the Codex Committee on Fats and Oils (CCFO) by videoconference on the revision of CODEX STAN 33-1981, the standard for olive oils and olive pomace oils.
  • 28 October: Prize-giving ceremony of the Mario Solinas Quality Award.

PROCHAINES RÉUNIONS ORGANISÉES PAR L’UNITÉ DE NORMALISATION ET RECHERCHE

Calendrier des activités prévues au deuxième semestre

Madrid – Malgré la pandémie, l’Unité de normalisation et recherche aura un calendrier d’activités chargé pour le deuxième semestre de l’année 2021 :

  • Deuxième édition du workshop d’harmonisation des jurys de dégustation, du 15 au 17 septembre 2021, auquel participeront 100 jurys agréés par le COI qui auront reçu préalablement les échantillons des huiles d’olive qui seront dégustées. L’objectif de cet atelier est d’harmoniser les jurys de dégustation, minimiser les écarts et homogénéiser les résultats.
  • Réunion des experts en analyse sensorielle, du 20 au 21 septembre 2021. L’avancement des différents groupes de travail électronique et l’analyse des conclusions des essais de contrôle de la compétence pour l’octroi de l’agrément pour la période de 2020-2021 seront les principaux sujets examinés.
  • Réunion des experts sur la composition des huiles présentant des paramètres hors norme, le 23 septembre 2021.
  • Workshop « Olive Oil, Mediterranean Sauce-Making and the Plant-Forward Kitchen », dans le cadre de l’accord de collaboration entre le COI et le Culinary Institute of America (CIA), du 4 au 6 octobre 2021.
  • Présentation des conclusions du projet Oleum, le 13 octobre 2021.
  • Réunion des experts chimistes, les 14 et 15 octobre 2021. Les résultats des essais collaboratifs, l’état des lieux de l’harmonisation entre les différentes normes et les priorités des travaux futurs seront les principaux sujets examinés.
  • Révision de la Norme sur les huiles d’olive et les huiles de grignons d’olive CODEX STAN 33-1981. La 27e réunion du Comité du Codex sur les huiles et les graisses (CCHG) est prévue du 18 au 22 octobre 2021.
  • Remise des prix du concours Mario Solinas, le 28 octobre 2021.
