A lifetime dedicated to the IOC

One of the pillars of the Executive Secretariat is leaving after 41 years of service

Having reached – even passed – retirement age, Maria Luisa Albinelli, known as Gina to her colleagues, has left the Interna

tional Olive Council after 41 years in the Executive Secretariat. Assistant to many Executive Directors, and part of the team running the Secretariat of the Organisation, Gina was a valuable reference point for all Council Members and colleagues. To commemorate her retirement, an official ceremony was held at which the Executive Director, Abdellatif Ghedira, highlighted her unique contribution and “unconditional dedication to the success of the Organisation”. Jaime Lillo and Mustafa Sepetçi, the Deputy Executive Directors, recalled “her spirit of collaboration” and her role as “the historical memory of the International Olive Council”. Gina received many gifts from all her colleagues and a beautiful silver olive from the Executive Director. We wish Gina all the best in this new chapter.

Après 41 ans de service, l’un des piliers du Secrétariat exécutif s’en va

Madrid – Alors qu’elle a atteint – même dépassé – l’âge de la retraite, Maria Luisa Albinelli, Gina, a quitté le Conseil oléicole international après 41 ans de travail au Secrétariat exécutif. Assistante de nombreux Directeurs exécutifs du COI et responsable du secrétariat de l’Organisation, Gina a été un point de référence précieux pour tous les Membres du Conseil et pour ses collègues du Secrétariat. Pour commémorer son départ à la retraite, le Directeur exécutif, Abdellatif Ghedira, a, lors d’une cérémonie officielle, souligné sa contribution unique et son “dévouement inconditionnel au succès de l’Organisation”. Jaime Lillo et Mustafa Sepetci, les Directeurs exécutifs adjoints, ont rappelé “son esprit de collaboration” et son rôle de “mémoire historique du Conseil oléicole international”. Gina a reçu de nombreux présents de tous ses collègues et un bel oliver en argent du Directeur exécutif.
