Staff members of the Executive Secretariat of the International Olive Council (IOC) visited Fundación Trébol in Madrid on 3 December where they took part in a series of inclusive workshops alongside users of the foundation.
The day included hands-on activities such as planting olive trees and shared baking sessions, creating a space for exchange, learning and cooperation in a warm and engaging environment. Fundación Trébol works to promote the social and labour inclusion of people with disabilities, fostering autonomy, skills development and equal opportunities.
This experience served as a meaningful team-building initiative for the IOC staff while also reflecting core values closely linked to the olive tree itself: solidarity, sustainability, inclusion, resilience and shared growth. Through this initiative, the IOC reaffirmed its commitment not only to the olive sector, but also to the human and social values that the olive symbolises across cultures.
