Following the conclusion of the meetings of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Committee, which discussed the decisions to be submitted to the Council plenary, the 115th session will begin next week with the meeting of the Council of Members in the Jordanian capital.
Jordan currently holds the rotating chair of the Organisation. The plenary session, which will be held on 8 June 2022 in Amman, will be chaired by the Jordanian Minister of Agriculture H.E. Khaled Hanifet, and the proceedings will be coordinated by Executive Director Abdellatif Ghedira. Next week, the reports of the various committees that met by videoconference this week will be presented. These are the Administrative and Financial Affairs Committee; the Economy, Promotion and Observatory Committee; the Standardisation and Research Committee; and the Technology and Environment Committee.
The IOC is the only intergovernmental organisation working in the olive oil and table olive sector. The IOC was established in 1959 in Madrid, Spain, under the auspices of the United Nations.
It contributes to the sustainable and responsible development of olive growing and provides a global forum for discussing policy issues and addressing present and future challenges in the olive sector.
