Amman – In his address to the 51st meeting of the Advisory Committee of the International Olive Council, Fayyad Al - Zoyud, Chairman of the Jordan Olive Products Exporters Association (JOPEA), described Jordan as an olive producing country of peace and tolerance. “The olive sector has changed our quality of life through the creation of beautiful landscapes at the forefront of technological progress. We are proud of our production and we are constantly trying to develop it through partnerships and close cooperation with national and international governmental institutions. This blessed sector has become an instrument of social and economic emancipation, enabling a better distribution of wealth and contributing considerably to the fight against poverty and unemployment”.
