MARKET SITUATION
Table olive imports
Table olive imports in key markets fell by 16% in the first eight months of the 2024/25 crop year (September 2024–April 2025), compared to the same period the previous year.

The main supplier countries were Argentina (18.1%), Egypt (17.6%), Spain (17.5%), Greece (12.9%) and Morocco (10.1%). All recorded declines, except for Spain, which saw an increase of 1.6%.

Olive oil imports
Between October 2024 and April 2025, olive oil imports in key markets rose by 8.7% compared to the same period of the previous crop year. There was a notable recovery in volumes imported from Australia, Canada, China and the United States.

Prices
In the last week of May 2025 (and the second-to-last week in the case of Greece), extra virgin olive oil producer prices were:
• €338.5/100kg in Jaén, Spain (–57% year-on-year)
• €970/100kg in Bari, Italy (+0.5%)
• €360/100kg in Chania, Greece (–51%)
