57th Advisory Committee: upcoming events in Georgia

Madrid / 12.11.2021

The Executive Secretariat of the IOC greets the participants of the 57th meeting of the Advisory Committee on Olive Oil and Table Olives and informs them about the programme organised by the Georgian authorities from 24 to 27 November 2021.

The meeting will be held at the Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Hotel (20 Telavi St, Tbilisi 0103, Georgia) on 24 November 2021 at 11.30 (Tbilisi time). Guests will have the option to attend either in person or by videoconference.

An international seminar will be held on World Olive Day on 26 November 2021 at 11.30 (Tbilissi time) at the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Georgia (1 Malkhaz Abdushelishvili St, Tbilisi, Georgia).

Click on the following link  Programme_Olive_Tree_Day_ EN for the seminar programme and to join the videoconference: The Georgian authorities have also organised a technical visit to the Kakheti region on 27 November 2021, to share the improvements made to the Georgian olive oil sector with the entire world of olive oil.

The Advisory Committee is a fundamental talking partner for the Council of Members. The Committee was established to voice the opinions of business circles and to tap into their hands-on knowledge to help the Executive Secretariat find effective solutions to problems facing the sector.

 

57e réunion du Comité consultatif : programme des événements en Géorgie

Madrid – À l’occasion de la 57e réunion du Comité consultatif de l’huile d’olive et des olives de table, les autorités géorgiennes ont programmé les activités suivantes.

La réunion du Comité se tiendra à l’hôtel Sheraton Grand Tbilissi (20 Telavi St, Tbilissi 0103, Géorgie) le 24 novembre 2021 à 11 h 30 (heure de Tbilissi). Les représentants du Comité consultatif auront la possibilité d’y assister en personne ou en visioconférence.

Un séminaire international se tiendra à l’occasion de la Journée mondiale de l’olivier le 26 novembre 2021 à 11 h 30 (heure de Tbilissi) au Palais présidentiel de la République de Géorgie (1 Malkhaz Abdushelishvili St, Tbilissi, Géorgie). Les autorités géorgiennes ont également organisé une visite technique le 27 novembre 2021 dans la région de Kakhétie, pour montrer au secteur oléicole mondial les améliorations apportées à l’oléiculture géorgienne.

Le Comité consultatif est un interlocuteur essentiel du Conseil des Membres. Il a été créé pour permettre à l’industrie oléicole d’exprimer son opinion et de partager ses connaissances pratiques pour aider le Secrétariat exécutif à trouver des solutions efficaces aux problèmes auxquels le secteur oléicole mondial est confronté.
