Executive Director
The Council of Members elects the Executive Director to head the IOC as its chief administrative officer. The current Executive Director, Jean-Louis Barjol of France, took up his appointment on 1 January 2011 after serving as the Deputy Director in charge of the Administrative & Financial and Survey & Assessment Divisions of the IOC Executive Secretariat for two years.
The Executive Director oversees the organisation, administration and supervision of the Executive Secretariat, assisted by the college of senior officials
