Visit from the ICCAT

Camille Jean Pierre Manel, the Executive Secretary of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT), paid a visit to the Executive Director, Abdellatif Ghedira, on 12 February 2020.

The meeting focused on the various tasks of the Commission and the Council. The Executive Director informed his guest of the rules and procedures governing the functioning of the IOC and expressed his willingness to share his managerial experience. Mr Manel expressed his interest in the new communication and management techniques recently introduced at the IOC and proposed exploring a form of partnership between the two institutions in the field of administrative and financial management.

The Executive Director welcomed this proposal and promised to maintain permanent contact with his counterpart at the ICCAT.
