The International Olive Council (IOC) is pleased to announce the opening of its 2025 call for proposals for the awarding of grants for annual promotional programmes in IOC member countries. A total budget of €40,410, with a maximum amount of €6,000 per project, has been allocated to support initiatives that promote the local consumption of olive oil and table olives.
These grants are intended to foster the consumption of olive oil and table olives, support cooperation among member countries, and align with the objectives outlined in the International Agreement on Olive Oil and Table Olives, 2015. The IOC will fund up to 50% of the eligible project costs of the selected projects.
Eligible actions must be implemented during the 2025 calendar year and include seminars, trade fairs, workshops, production of promotional materials, participation of international experts, and national competitions for extra virgin olive oil quality in line with IOC standards.
Applicants must be public-law or private non-profit entities legally established in an IOC member country. Innovative proposals, geographical diversity and transparency will be key considerations during the evaluation process.
Interested applicants can read all the details of the call for proposals here and submit their application electronically via the IOC’s online submission platform before Monday, 10 September 2025 (midnight, Madrid time).
For further inquiries, applicants may contact the IOC Executive Secretariat at prom@iocorg.org.
We encourage all eligible institutions to apply and help advance the global recognition of olive oil and table olives through locally driven initiatives.
