In June of the 2020/2021 crop year, the unit value index of extra-EU exports increased by +2.9% compared to the previous month. The unit value of extra-EU exports stood at €377 per 100kg (+3.8% compared to the previous month).
Spanish exports of olive oil reached 1 117 759 tonnes in the 2019/2020 crop year for an estimated value of €2.795 billion, placing it in first place followed by Italy with 355 669 tonnes and €1.358 billion ; Portugal with 209 069 tonnes and €589.4 millions ; and Greece with 160 851 tonnes and €450.7 millions.
In the 2019/2020 crop year, extra-EU exports of olive oil reached 820 496 tonnes for an estimated value of €2.693 billion (+15.8% and +0% , respectively, compared to the previous crop year).
