The International Olive Council (IOC) is offering scholarships for the International Expert Course in Virgin Olive Oil Tasting, held at the University of Jaén (Spain). Now in its 23rd edition, this course provides in-depth training in sensory analysis, quality assessment and tasting methodologies for virgin olive oil.
Designed for professionals with experience in olive oil production, quality control or research, the course helps develop the skills needed to assess and classify virgin olive oils according to IOC standards. The programme is delivered in both English and Spanish and runs from 21 September to 11 December 2026.
The IOC scholarship covers tuition fees, travel costs and a monthly stipend for living expenses. Only nationals of IOC member countries are eligible to apply, and candidates will be selected based on their qualifications, experience and motivation.
