In Memoriam

It is with great sadness that the Executive Secretariat of the IOC announces the death of Jean-Claude Barsacq, Head of the Federation of Olive Oil Industry and Trade of France and representative on the Advisory Committee of the International Olive Council since 2003. In his passing, the world of olive growing is deprived of a great defender with a deep-seated knowledge of the sector; the profession has lost a remarkable leader and, us all, a firm friend. On behalf of the Members of the International Olive Council and the staff members of the Executive Secretariat, the Executive Director of the IOC, Abdellatif Ghedira, presents his most sincere and heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones and friends.
