WORLD OLIVE DAY: AN INTERNATIONAL CELEBRATION

Three hundred stakeholders joined us from all over the world, united by olive oil.

On 26 November, the International Olive Council celebrated the first anniversary of World Olive Day since its creation by UNESCO in 2019.

To mark the occasion, the Executive Secretariat organised an international seminar on “The future of the olive sector” for institutional representatives, including UNESCO, as well as top scientific and university experts, consumers and women’s olive oil associations from around the world. Almost three hundred people connected for over six hours of speeches and celebrations.

 Madrid – Trois cents acteurs du monde entier nous ont rejoints, unis par l’huile d’olive, le 26 novembre, à l’occasion de la célébration par le Conseil oléicole international du premier anniversaire de la Journée mondiale de l’olivier depuis sa création par l’UNESCO en 2019.

Pour marquer l’occasion, le Secrétariat exécutif a organisé un séminaire international sur “L’avenir du secteur oléicole” auquel ont participé des représentants institutionnels, dont l’UNESCO, ainsi que des experts scientifiques et universitaires de haut niveau, des consommateurs et des associations féminines du monde entier dans le domaine de l’huile d’olive. Près de trois cents personnes se sont connectées pendant plus de six heures de discours et de célébrations.
