This first edition of a world catalogue of varieties of cultivated olive is a detailed work covering 139 varieties from 23 olive-growing countries that account for almost 85% of olive acreage. The number of varieties described for each country has been determined by the importance of olive growing and the extent to which the variety is cropped.
